Free Rides for Seniors

The Vintage House Senior Transportation Program, LIMO (Local Independent Mobility Options), is designed to provide seniors 60 years and older who can no longer drive with FREE door-to-door rides for non-medical purposes.
Rides are available within Sonoma Valley Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays). Typical destinations include grocery shopping, hair dresser, post office, banks, library, Farmers Market and of course Vintage House!

A notice of Five (5) working days is required to reserve your ride.

What is LIMO?
LIMO stands for Local Independent Mobility Options, and is the volunteer driver program at Vintage House which provides free transportation to Sonoma Valley seniors 60 and over who are no longer able to drive.

Where can you take me?
LIMO provides rides for non-medical, social appointments and shopping needs. Typical destinations include banks, post office, grocery stores and shops, and of course classes and activities at Vintage House. For medical appointments, please call F.I.S.H. at 707.996.0111 to schedule

How far will you drive?
Our program serves locations as far north as Kenwood and as far south as the raceway on HWY 121.

How do I sign up for a ride?
Call Michele Alba, LIMO Program Coordinator at 707.996.0311 if you have a need for a ride, or to find out more about the program.

When should I call for a ride?
We ask for a five (5) working day notice to schedule a ride. Please do try us at any time though, in case there is a volunteer driver available.

What days can I schedule a ride?
We schedule rides Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, generally between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. We do not schedule rides on the weekends.

Do you screen your volunteer drivers?
Yes, we do reference checks, obtain Department of Motor Vehicle driver reports, and fingerprints. All volunteer drivers attend an orientation and training session at Vintage House.

How can I become a Volunteer Driver?
We always welcome new volunteer drivers to our program. Being a volunteer driver is a great way to meet new people, stay active, and provide support to seniors who wish to stay healthy and involved in our community.
